ROLE OVERVIEW
- Up to £30,000/year
- Full-Time, Permanent
What You’ll Do:
- Produce and bake artisan and traditional breads to established timings and temperatures
- Hand-form high-quality sourdough, long fermentation breads (like ciabatta), and sweet pastries (including croissants)
- Monitor bakery production efficiently and professionally
- Scale recipes accurately and maintain product consistency
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and traceability in the bakery
- Work independently while following direction from the Head Baker
We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced bakery setting
- Skilled in artisan baking techniques and traditional bread making
- Strong understanding of sourdough and long fermentation processes
- Confident working under pressure and managing production deadlines
- Numerate and able to calculate ingredient scaling
- Self-motivated and well-organised, with minimal need for supervision
- Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to obtain)
