Wood Green Common and Barratt Gardens
We have funding to improve Wood Green Common and Barratt Gardens. The improvements will create better green space for people and promote biodiversity. The improvements are based on what people have told us at engagement events and through online feedback.
The design is an ambitious response to the climate emergency and the need to provide an inclusive neighbourhood space of well-being for a diverse community.
We are aiming to deliver the project by 2024, subject to securing planning permission and additional funding for the multi use games area.
The design follows the Mayor of London’s priorities to reduce pollution in and around schools and to improve walking and cycling infrastructure; Haringey Walking and Cycling Action Plan; and the Wood Green and Turnpike Lane Design Manual.
