Already in effect, the Government have announced that social gatherings cannot be no more than six people. This includes anywhere out and about in the Town Centre including bars, restaurants and pubs etc.
For anyone over 11 years old, you must also wear a face covering while in ANY premises inside unless you have a medical condition that prevents you to do wear one. Those breaking the law can face fines of £100 doubling up to a maximum of £3,200.
From Friday 18th September, the Hospitality sector which includes Bars, Pubs, Restaurants, Cinemas etc. will be required by law to collect curtain personal information from any visitor to their premises on behalf of NHS Track and Trace.
Up to now, the collecting of information has been within the guidelines and while many businesses and visitors have been already providing personal information already when visiting venues, the changes coming into force ensure that ALL business comply with the law.
The information collected will include your Full Name, Contact Number, Date and time of arrival. Other information includes a table number of where you where sitting and the time you left the venue.
The Police have also set up a new reporting section on their website for anyone who is concerned that others are breaking the law. You can report this on the website here.
