About the Role

As part of Digital Services, you will report to the Delivery Manager in the Portfolio Team, which is responsible for the delivery of digitally enabled change transformation across the Council. The Team help to deliver more modern and efficient services to residents and businesses. 

As an experience Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of small to medium scale IT and digital projects of workstreams. 

You will work in accordance with our project management standards and use the core technologies of project definition; cost and resource estimation; creating and maintaining project plans; risk and issue management, quality management and financial reporting to deliver projects on time and to budget.

About You

We are looking for a Project Manager who has a proven track record of managing small to medium IT and digital projects across the whole of the IT project lifecycle. You should have:

  • Ideally A-Level or equivalent or hold a relevant professional qualification such as PRINCE2 or AgilePM.
  • Familiarity with basic business analysis techniques and experience using different methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – you should be confident and able to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and perspectives in different business contexts
  • Good attention to detail skills, with the ability to produce quality project documentation and reports for a wide audience
  • Experience working with appropriate project management methods and tools to support the tasks above such as MS Project, JIRA or Monday.com.
