About the role
Mulberry Junction, the Council’s resource centre for single people aged 18-50 affected by or at risk of homelessness in Haringey is seeking a Welcome Worker. The service provides on-the-spot information and support around housing, health and well-being to enable people affected by homelessness to achieve their personal goals.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative new service designed in partnership with people affected by homelessness to deliver a service that truly reflects the diversity of Haringey.
The Welcome Worker is the initial point of contact for people accessing Mulberry Junction and services across Haringey. The role will provide administrative and operational support to the services based at Mulberry Junction to enable its smooth running. The role will be responsible for ensuring the environment is physically welcoming and safe through management of Health and Safety, ordering and calendar management.
Skills and Experiences
At Haringey we recognise the valuable contribution offered by people with lived experience and we are interested in hearing from people with personal experience of homelessness, mental health, substance use or criminal justice services. We also encourage applications from Black and Minority Ethnic and Transgender people who are over-represented in homelessness services and under-represented in the workforce. Mulberry Junction supports a high proportion of EEA Nationals who are disproportionally represented in Rough Sleeping Services. We particularly welcome applications from Polish and Romanian speakers.
