Skills and Experiences

To provide a high quality, responsive, administration support service to the Haringey Community Benefit Society supporting the team’s work of renting and managing HCBS properties.

 

To provide operational support to the HCBS Property Manager, managing a range of IT and desk top systems and when required undertaking property viewings.

 

About HCBS (Haringey Community Benefit Society)

 

Was formed in 2019 to provide good quality housing at affordable rents for people in Haringey. Our portfolio of homes is spread across the London Borough of Haringey and its neighbouring boroughs. These homes are managed by Homes for Haringey and we only house people nominated to us by Haringey Council.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

Set up new properties and suppliers on Homes for Haringey systems and databases.

To prepare tenancy sign up packs, Create and Upload Tenancy Agreements & statutory documentation to Homes for Haringey file sharing service and to update the property database.

Respond to and resolve tenant enquires including basic repairs reporting made by Phone & email.

Undertake Property Viewings with Tenants and undertake property signups, recording outcomes on appropriate systems.

Send Property Nominations to Relevant internal Teams.

Provide an administrative support to the HCBS within the Supply and Contracts team as directed by line manager.

Access and follow relevant information on policies and procedures and complete tasks to required standards in line with these.

Where relevant, suggest improvements to procedures to increase effectiveness, efficiency or customer service.

Acknowledge incoming tasks and identify conflicting priorities.

Communicate effectively with customers face to face and in a way which takes into account equality, diversity and data protection requirements

Produce a wide range of types of written communication, both routine and non-routine.

Essential Qualifications

 

A good general standard of education. Numeracy and literacy.

Essential Experience

 

Experience in relevant administrative work to the job role.

Management and/or development of administrative systems

Knowledge and skills

 

Knowledge of one or more administrative systems.

An awareness of one or more administrative work areas.

Information technology skills

Communication skills oral and written

Ability to solve problems – to be flexible and adaptable and able to respond to situations creatively, in the moment

Excellent people skills – to interact, liaise and negotiate effectively with others

Ability to work under pressure and deliver the work in a responsible and sensitive manner.

Ability to self-manage
