Using art to inspire connectedness with nature and our local environment. We will be Looking, connecting, making, weaving, and balancing. By taking part you will be contributing to a larger collaborative community artwork*.
We will start by walking around foraging for materials in areas of the palace where found materials are easily located! Then we will learn how to make shapes with willow rods, that you will then attach your found objects to, making a small mobile that we will then attach to the main artwork.*
Please bring (per group/person): some secateurs or pliers, any special natural objects you may like to include from your own garden or walks- i.e. some seed pods, special leaves, grasses, no worries if not, we will find plenty!
This workshop is part of The Mobile Garden Sculpture* inviting our local community to come together through a series of workshops run by artists from the Crouch End Open Studios.
Participants will be making elements to adorn a larger mobile structure which be a visual reflection of our thoughts around nature and environment. We hope to exhibit as part of the Crouch End Open Studios 2021 Event in September 25th & 26th.
