Petr Weigl Ceramics Studio is delighted to welcome you to our inaugural Open Studio event.
The event, taking place at our studio housed within a Victorian Factory in Wood Green, will act as a showcase for our artists, designers, makers and offers the public the rare opportunity to visit a ceramics studio as well as buy and commission artworks direct from our artists. We have a wonderful mix of new and established artists, each with a unique voice and quality craftsmanship.
Elegantly thrown tableware will be available from recent Central St Martins graduate Rosie Victor as well as charming slip cast designs by 2021 Etsy Design Awards Finalist Belgin Bozsahin.
Alexandra Browne‘s latest selection of hand painted wall tiles offer a sense of playfulness to any space they inhabit and are installed across Europe and the United States.
New works from Ian Thompson, recent recipient of the Fresh Talent Award at the British Ceramics Biennial, will include his intricately hand painted porcelain vessels inspired by timeless Korean brushwork. East Asian influences are also present in the sculptural forms of Heather Gibson who uses the traditional Japanese carving technique of kurinuki.
Porcelain wall pieces by Sara Dodd in her signature wafer thin style will be available with special editions made exclusively for the Open Studios event. Dodd was recently selected for membership to the Craft Potters Association.
Visitors are invited to wander through the studio and discover the works of all our makers at our sparkling wine reception, Thursday 6 – 9pm.
We look forward to seeing you there.
