Whether you’re considering taking the plunge and leaving your job to pursue ‘the good life’ or are an enthusiastic allotmenteer keen to flower up your plot, we’ll take you through all the fundamentals – from seed to vase – to grow your own beautiful cut flowers. Beginning the day with coffee and a walk around our micro flower farm, you’ll learn more about our ethos and why we left our producing careers behind!

We’ll discuss how to design a space dedicated to cut flowers whilst keeping wildlife in mind and talk through some of the challenges of growing in different conditions (such as shade, on heavy clay soil, or under glass). After an introduction to seed sowing and nurturing your seedlings into healthy plants you’ll enjoy a delicious light lunch before returning to the garden to cover the fundamentals of cutting and conditioning your stems. You’ll leave raring to go with a great base knowledge to get your cutting garden started and growing healthily!

The day includes all course materials including a seed tray of seeds, lunch & tea break refreshments.
