Haringey Council Community Safety team are currently embarking on the co-production of both the Community Safety and Hate Crime strategy. As part of this, we will perform extensive consultation and engagement with residents, community groups and businesses to gain views on issues surrounding Community Safety and Hate Crime. Your views will not only help us to understand what is important to you but will help guide our plans going forward for the new strategies.
The Community Safety strategy presents the Haringey Community Safety Partnership’s approach and priorities to improving the safety of our residents, business and visitors and achieving a reduction in crime and anti-social behaviour in Haringey. The Hate Crime strategy will reflect the Community Safety Partnership’s commitment to creating an environment where hate crime is not tolerated but challenged, reported, and dealt with appropriately.
With both strategies, co-production is key – we want to ensure that our communities voices are heard, and feelings/opinions are captured from the start, and that is why we are reaching out to you at this early stage, before any formal consultation. By doing so, we want to ensure that our plans concerning community safety and hate crime reflect the experiences and priorities of our partners, residents, and communities
